He has been full Professor and Researcher in the Department of Statistics at ITAM since 1990 and was Head of the Stat Department. He holds the degrees of Actuary from UNAM and both the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) with Level III. During year 2017 he has been working as an Invited Researcher in the Dirección General Adjunta de Investigación at the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) in Mexico City.

He is currently a full-time emeritus professor and researcher at ITAM’s Law Department and a Level 3 member of the National System of Researchers (abbreviated as SNI in Spanish). He earned his Bachelor´s and Master's degree in Philosophy from the Ibero-American University (Mexico City, Mexico), his PhD degree in Philosophy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (abbreviates as UNAM in Spanish) and he´s a Law graduate from ITAM.

Carlos Bosch Giral studied Mathematics as an undergraduate at the National Autonomous University (UNAM) in Mexico City. He then went on to obtain a D.E.A (Diplome d’études approfondis) and PH.D. (Doctorat de 3éme cycle) in Mathematics  at the Université Claude Bernard, Lyon I in France.
