Tridib’s research focuses on dynamic games, mechanism design and experimental economics. His current research projects pertain to dynamic cheap talk and balanced prior free mechanisms. Tridib is also involved in studying data generated from experiments on correlated equilibria.

His interests are wider, and as such, apart from teaching courses in Game Theory and Mechanism Design, he has also taught courses in Industrial Organization, General Equilibrium Theory, Development Economics and History of Economic Thought. Tridib has guided under-graduate theses on Development Economics, Regulations, Repeated Games, Common Knowledge and Mechanism Design. Students, who write their thesis with Tridib, mostly go on to pursue graduate studies in the U.S. Some of them are now employed as professors in top U.S. universities. Others have returned to Mexico and joined the public sector. A few have directly joined the private sector after graduating from ITAM.
